I’m stealing the keyboard from mom today and posting this myself. Today, the straight dope!

12:20 am
I woke up in the middle of a diaper changing/pajama dressing session. I’m not sure why they always wait until I’m asleep to do this stuff, except for the fact that I refuse to follow a schedule. That’s a pretty thin excuse. Why can’t they just read my mind? So what if I fell asleep at 8pm? They should have known I was down for the count! I let mommy put new clothes on me. Now she’d better feed me…all this sleeping has worked up an appetite.
Actually, first let me stare at this ceiling fan for a while. I love these things!
12:30 am
Time to eat! Mom reads me a story about sailing ships. Lucky Jack Aubrey has been captured by the French!
1:15 am
Big yawn…. Time to sleep!
7:30 am
Time to eat again!
7:50 am
I get to roll around, kick my feet, and just hang out with Dad until Mom finishes her shower. After my workout, I fall asleep.
8:30 am
I’m woken up by dad changing my clothes. That wasn’t much of a nap at all! He brings me downstairs and Mom laughs because my outfit doesn’t match. Dad says my clothes matched just fine under the yellower lighting of my bedroom. I don’t care, I like my teal pear pants from Grandma and my turquoise/orange super doudou shirt from Paris! I would ask Mom and Dad what a doudou is, but I don’t think they know either. It’s either a genetically modified bear or a highly athletic squirrel.
As you can see, I’m getting myself ready to crawl pretty soon!
8:50 am
Mom puts me in my Bumbo seat. I don’t want to sit in the seat, I want to — well, I don’t know what I want, but this sure isn’t it!!!!
8:51 am
Mom puts me in my swing. I want to goof around and make faces, but she has to go pack her lunch. For a moment, I feel like crying, but the swing is so nice I fall back asleep again.
10:10 am
I’m woken up by my dad smooching my head as he pulls me out of the car. We’ve arrived at Mercedes’ house for my day’s entertainment. My friend Michaela is awake and crawling around, playing with Mercedes’ daughter, Oriana. Michaela is a few months older than I am, and Oriana is 9 or 10 — she’s off from school this week, and absolutely adores cute babies like me and Michaela. Michaela crawls really well and just learned to stand up. I think I might be able to crawl myself pretty soon — maybe once I figure out how to keep my face from dragging on the ground. Michaela makes it look so easy! Mom and Dad kiss me goodbye and waggle their fingers — I’m not sure why they do that, but one of these days I’m going to try it and see.
1:50 pm
I feel warm and fuzzy — probably because mom is thinking of me!
6:15 pm
Mom and Dad arrive to pick me up from Mercedes’ house. As you can see, my onesie and my pants required changing during the day….I had a little party in my pants. My new ensemble is just as comfy, however.
6:45 pm
Time to eat!
7:15 pm
Still eating….!
7:30 pm
Mom thinks she’s going to eat her dinner now. Good thing I can sit sideways on the couch and kick her the whole time, otherwise she might think I’d forgotten her!
8:15 pm
Time to play jungle gym and crawl around on Mom’s tummy. Sometimes she props me up on her knees so she can see me better.
9:00 pm
Time to eat!
9:30 pm
Time for my workout. A little bumbo seat sitting and big ball batting, a little time on my tummy, a little time on my back….
10:00 pm
Time to eat!
10:30 pm
I fall asleep in a most uncomfortable-looking position…..
11:00 pm
I wake myself up with a little whimper and discover I’ve been moved to my bassinet. Daddy comes to rock me and I fall back asleep in a few moments.
