On The Road: week 18
Tuesday, March 4th, 2008 | Yammer | 1 Comment
So, this week I’m in San Diego attending a conference for work. No pictures this time, just yammer!
The flight was really uneventful. I didn’t feel particularly pregnant, although that didn’t stop me from requesting to sit in the aisle seat. I didn’t really feel the need to visit the little girls room, no swelling, etc. Just sat and read a book. I did make myself get up and walk a little mid-flight, but I probably could have gotten away without it.
David and I are now signed up for birthing classes, which will start at the end of March. We’re taking Bradley Method classes from http://www.juliwalter.com, which we settled on after the kind advices from Emily and Tanya. I’ve been hearing really good things about Hypnobirthing, and I bought a book to learn more. We might sign up for Hypnobirthing classes later on, but in the mean time I’ve started doing my Hypnobirthing practice techniques on my own, and mixing in some yoga.
I think I’m managing to eat more, but being on the road means I’m getting more exercise walking to and from my hotel and all over the conference, so it may all be a wash at the end. I’m trying not to be paranoid about it. Trying.
New this week: strangers staring at my tummy! Other than that….big yawn :/ sorry. No kicks, no funny cravings, nothing! Next week is the big ultrasound, so we should have some new pictures to post. So far, I think we’re going to ask the technicians and nurses to leave the baby’s gender as a surprise. We’re taking bets, though
So far, my sister-in-law Marla is betting on a boy, and Renee from work has put in her guess as a girl……
